A Health Insurance Broker Catering to Individuals and Small Groups

After a long and distinguished career with the Illinois Department of Corrections, Edna R. Lee decided to step out and follow a dream. She founded Lee Entrepreneurial Enterprise, Inc. (now L.E.E., Inc.) in 1998 with the idea of promoting holistic health and investing.  The idea behind this is that no area of a person's life stands alone -- that we must be healthy not only physically, but also financially, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and socially.  All aspects of our being must be in harmony for us to be truly happy and successful.

With that in mind, L.E.E., Inc. ambitiously consulted with clients in the areas of fitness, as well as financial planning and services, including annuities, mutual funds, and insurance.

In 1999 Ms. Lee developed a "Healthy Lifestyles" program, and offered it through the Westside Health Authority in Chicago.  The program continues to be a big success in helping to develop Citizen Leaders and a support system for its participants throughout the Austin neighborhood on the west side of Chicago.  L.E.E., Inc. now offers the same workshops independently to individuals, groups, and corporations.

In 2001 L.E.E., Inc. seized an opportunity to take over the health insurance practice of Everett & Associates, Inc.  and focus more on the changing health insurance industry and its impact on the insured.  With a deep concern for the needs of small businesses and individuals, especially the elderly in our society, through the industry changes, we aim to offer alternatives as well as advice so that you can make the best choice for YOU in the area of health coverage.

L.E.E., Inc. still stands for empowering people and building people up in all areas, so that they can make educated decisions regarding their holistic health, as well as their health insurance.  We offer several workshops aimed at doing just that.  

We strive for innovation where it allows us to better serve our clients.  For instance, in response to the skyrocketing costs of prescriptions, knowing that some people have to choose between buying their prescriptions or their groceries each month, we offer one plan which allows clients to significantly reduce their prescription costs each month.  Also in response to rising premiums, we also offer  HSA (Health Savings Account) plans and Section 125 Plans ("Cafeteria Plans") to maximize and give you more control over your health and tax dollars. 

As an avenue for learning about the industry issues and voicing concerns, some of the organizations that she has used as forums to advocate the needs of her clients are the 7th Congressional District Health Task Force and the National Association of Alternative Benefit Consultants (NAABC).  As such she is able to serve as an agent for positive change in this evolving industry, a voice for individuals and small groups who might otherwise not be heard.
